Clayton Christmas Parade 2011
The good thing I have always enjoyed about a small town is their Parades. My personal belief is that if a town celebrated Parades every 3 months, it would create a long term effect of community and long term value, and it would be a celebration of heritage and history. I suppose logistically that this would be impossible, and it is just my two cents.
Tonight Clayton New York, a town rich with history, steeped with heritage celebrated it's annual Christmas Parade. Our very own Mel Busler of WWNY, Village Mayor Norma Zimmerman, and others presided over judging various Christmas floats from Clayton, Alexandria Bay, Cape Vincent, and the surrounding towns. Listed below are the pictures.
Merry Christmas everyone. Good tidings to you. As a photographer, I enjoy parades, I love the community gatherings, but I would be remiss if didn't sign off by reminding everyone to not forget why we celebrate Christmas: The birth of the Christ child, Immanuel, the long awaited promised one: Jesus.
